SABA FARRUKH
Saba Farrukh, a passionate and steadfast artist and a devoted teacher with over 25 years of experience. She acquired a Master’s degree in English Language Arts alongside an additional degree in Fine Arts thanks to years of unwavering diligence. She is a fervent admirer of the artistic expression of Islamic essence and is zealous in her pursuit to integrate the Quranic philosophy into the Arts through her nonpareil proficiency in the conveyance of the Islamic message.
Saba has been teaching Art to young students in Islamic schools from the elementary level all the way to high school since 1998. Her artistry and inspiration for painting and calligraphy originate directly from the beauty and harmony found in nature. The gratification experienced when finalizing a work of art for her is unmatched, and is what encourages her to persist in her artistic endeavor.
She remained as passionate about teaching after she was recognized as an artist locally and launched her own website through which she was able to reach a vast international audience and sold more than 200 original pieces of art globally. Saba’s work can be viewed on sabafarrukh.com.
Her persistence in the promotion and preservation of Islamic art will remain strong, Insha’Allah, along with her passion for teaching and educating youth about the wonders of art. She hopes that her efforts will have a lasting impact.

Lahore Vibes
The Centre of the Universe
Main Elements
- Central Structure: The Dome of the Rock is the focal point, depicted with a golden dome that catches warm tones of yellow and orange. The building beneath is painted in deep blues and dark tones, giving it weight and presence.
- Calligraphy: Bold, flowing Arabic calligraphy spans across the lower foreground. The white lettering stands out strongly against the darker blues, adding spiritual depth and balancing the composition. The style suggests a phrase of blessing or faith, integrated as part of the artwork rather than floating separately.
- Background & Atmosphere: The background consists of dramatic circular, swirling brushstrokes in shades of blue, white, black, and hints of gold. These spirals create a sense of motion—almost like divine light or spiritual energy radiating outward.
- Color Palette: Dominated by blues and whites, creating a serene, celestial feeling, contrasted with the warm yellows and goldhighlighting the dome and sky.
Overall Impression
The painting blends architecture, spirituality, and abstraction. The swirling movement and luminous colors create a sense of awe and reverence, making the structure feel sacred and central, as though light and energy converge around it. It’s expressive, symbolic, and emotionally stirring—both a landscape and a spiritual statement.A View through the Windows
- Calligraphy: The central element is a large Arabic calligraphic inscription rendered in bold black strokes. It is the focal point and appears to float against a textured sky.
- Sky and Atmosphere: The background features a soft blend of blues and whites, creating a luminous, almost celestial atmosphere.
- Architectural Motifs: Multiple arched windows and niches in varying shapes and colors (gold, turquoise, cream) frame small scenes. These arches resemble traditional Islamic or Mughal architectural designs.
- Interior Scenes: Inside the frames are miniature landscapes—trees, domes, distant structures—painted in cool greens and blues. They resemble small, peaceful worlds within each arch.
- Foreground Elements: At the lower right, a brown vase with foliage sits on a table, grounding the scene in a domestic interior. To the lower left, another pot with flowers complements it.
- Style: The overall painting blends realism and abstraction. The brushwork in the sky is impressionistic, while the architecture and foliage are more defined. Layering, texture, and contrasts between warm gold tones and cool blues add depth.
