The Road Not Taken
$800.00
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;ROBERT FROST
The inspiration behind this painting is the poem quoted from Robert Frost. I am always mesmerized by the imagery of an enigmatic forest where there are two roads, like the choices we have in life.
A thought-provoking landscape that can actually take is to time travel !!!

The inspiration behind this painting is a visit to the Rocky Mountains. The hills are decadent with green and blue foliage as if wearing a rich royal garment with new buds springing and a sparky of wild roses and daisies.
Oh! How I love to be there again and again.
The winding road vanishing behind that mysterious grove is another untold story!

My inspiration for this painting canes from the following poetic lines from Gerry Lagister’s poem:
"Streams in the desert" When hours had pass with painful cross I travelled on till I could go no further, Then at last; in all the pain of sad losses, I rest serene beneath the tranquil power. God gave me quietness and assurance To drink from the stream in the desert And wash my feet press sore in peace, That they in grief may walk in the spirit.Size: 36x48

On a sunny summer day, a modest bridge surrounded by trees sits above the reflecting greenish lake exuding an air of tranquility in the middle of prospering flora.
Green occupies a majority of the space in the painting. Trees, grass, and the bridge dominate the water and the sky, which conveys a message about the strength of natural life.

Down, down down
$600.00
The milky white clouds floating in the howling wind match the chalky white color of the snow, scattered all over the colossal mountain. The forceful wind is blowing a gale like a hurricane providing us with an intrepid journey ahead.
The jagged rocks are like sharp knives piercing my feet through my thick leather boots. I am staggering up the vast mountain through the overruling wind that is gently brushing past my face.
I am in love with this slow drifting snow… going down, down…..down”
