SubhanAllahe wa Behamdehe
Allah subhana wa ta’ala has revealed to us certain phrases that if we recite the rewards are tremendous. Greater then you and I can imagine. We should realize the rahma (mercy) of Allah. In Surah Baqarah, verse 185 it says, “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.”

Ar Raheem
AR RAHEEM (The Merciful)
MEANING: He who acts with extreme kindness.
The name Ar-Raheem (in Arabic: ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ) comes from the same root as Ar-Rahman which refers to Allah’s attribute of being Merciful. Although similarly related the meanings are different. Ar-Rahman can be understood to refer to Allah as the origination/source of all mercy, whereas Ar-Raheem refers to its sustaining/infiniteness. Some view the name of Ar-Raheem as being merciful to His creation deserving of mercy (primarily the mercy reserved for the believers).

Ya Ghaffar
The Forgiver, The Ever-Forgiving, The Most-Forgiving.
Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is Al-Ghaffar (in Arabic: ٱلْغَفَّارُ), He sees our sins and disobedience, yet He still forgives and accepts the repentance of the sincere. He shows never-ending compassion and forgiveness, no matter how big or small the sin. He is the most forgiving and loves to forgive.
This painting is inspired by Persian motifs and Moroccan mural art. The intricate vines entangling and reaching up to the heavens for mercy and forgiveness.

Kalma Shahadah
The Kalima refers to the first section of the Shahada: La Illah Illa Allah, Mohammad Rassoul Allah.
This translates to: There is no God but Allah (swt), and Mohammad is His messenger.

My inspiration for this painting canes from the following poetic lines from Gerry Lagister’s poem:
"Streams in the desert" When hours had pass with painful cross I travelled on till I could go no further, Then at last; in all the pain of sad losses, I rest serene beneath the tranquil power. In the Marsh
A thin wet sky, that yellows at the rim, And meets with sun-lost lip the marsh’s brim. The pools low lying, dank with moss and mould, Glint through their mildews like large cups of gold.Emily Johnson beautifully captures the spirit in her poem, “Marshlands”, the essential message of this gorgeous painting in oil pastels.
