Looking at this painting the wind seems to whip through my hair, knotting it beyond belief, as sprays of water splashes me in the face. Sunshine beat down on all of us, helping to warm us all. Laughter drifts about on the boat as we all enjoy ourselves.
I can gaze at it for hours with my coffee and unwind the troubles of the day.

Down, down down
The milky white clouds floating in the howling wind match the chalky white color of the snow, scattered all over the colossal mountain. The forceful wind is blowing a gale like a hurricane providing us with an intrepid journey ahead.
The jagged rocks are like sharp knives piercing my feet through my thick leather boots. I am staggering up the vast mountain through the overruling wind that is gently brushing past my face.
I am in love with this slow drifting snow… going down, down…..down”

Reflections on the Edge of a Snowy Woodland

The winter palette’s colors are vivid though subdued. In this forest, I am with my tribe of wood and leaf, among the giants that hug the earth. It is a place of my refuge with the sweet smell of flowers and the soothing sound of water and songs of the birds, forever embedded in the air.
A hug of browns, a shelter of extended limbs resting beneath the foliage.
I am in love with this painting, especially in the scorching heat of the long summers.
Upon the forest floor, lies the leaves, fallen in storms long forgotten, but still beautiful. All of this natural composition is what makes this painting, a piece of art.

In the Marsh
A thin wet sky, that yellows at the rim, And meets with sun-lost lip the marsh’s brim. An Escape

This boat that is my land amid the water, is as bright as the last berry of summer. I feel the wind, gusting with the tempo of a fiddle, dancing with long and short bows, punctuated by soulful silence. I watch the billowed sail, rippling the same as the water around, always ready to propel us onward. Under this rising sun I have watched the mast shadow grow and fade, yet it is a pale form of darkness and nothing at all to compare to the brilliance of stars in the night. “There may be shadows in the sunlight, my love, but there will always be stars at night.”
