I travelled on till I could go no further,
Then at last; in all the pain of sad losses,
I rest serene beneath the tranquil power.God gave me quietness and assurance
To drink from the stream in the desert
And wash my feet press sore in peace,
That they in grief may walk in the spirit.

In this forest, I am with my tribe of wood and leaf, among the giants that hug the earth. It is a place of my refuge with the sweet smell of flowers and the soothing sound of water and songs of the birds, forever embedded in the air.
A hug of browns, a shelter of extended limbs resting beneath the foliage.
I am in love with this painting, especially in the scorching heat of the long summers.
Upon the forest floor, lies the leaves, fallen in storms long forgotten, but still beautiful. All of this natural composition is what makes this painting, a piece of art.

By the Lake

Looking at this painting the wind seems to whip through my hair, knotting it beyond belief, as sprays of water splashes me in the face. Sunshine beat down on all of us, helping to warm us all. Laughter drifts about on the boat as we all enjoy ourselves.
I can gaze at it for hours with my coffee and unwind the troubles of the day.
