The Beginnings
$50.00
A quick thumbnail sketch in oil pastels on cold-pressed watercolor paper.
The inspiration for this quick painting just came like the rushing stream it’s depicting. The new beginnings symbolize the promised arrival of spring.

Reflections on the Edge of a Snowy Woodland
$800.00

The winter palette’s colors are vivid though subdued. A snowy winter landscape reveals a range of icy colors, from crystal-white hills and fields to creamy yellow sunlight on snow to the light blue-purple of shadows or the silvery blue-gray of tiny brooks. The tans, browns, and forest greens stand out against a white backdrop. On the horizon, these colors make a winter blue sky all the more tingly and brilliant, or at other times serene.

In my Dream

My inspiration for this painting canes from the following poetic lines from Gerry Lagister’s poem:
"Streams in the desert" When hours had pass with painful cross I travelled on till I could go no further, Then at last; in all the pain of sad losses, I rest serene beneath the tranquil power. God gave me quietness and assurance To drink from the stream in the desert And wash my feet press sore in peace, That they in grief may walk in the spirit.Size: 36x48
Winding through the Purple Desert

Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails.
Nestled in the heart of Arizona is the small desert town of Sedona. It is well known for its beautiful landscape, iconic red cliffs, and desert juniper forests. The tall and carved cliff sides create stunning views and epic outdoor adventures. We can thank weather and the earth’s natural cycles for all of it. Artistically speaking, Sedona is a gold mine.
I am in love with this place and crave to go to this place, again and again. This painting always reminds me of the abundance of natural beauty.

Looking at this painting the wind seems to whip through my hair, knotting it beyond belief, as sprays of water splashes me in the face. Sunshine beat down on all of us, helping to warm us all. Laughter drifts about on the boat as we all enjoy ourselves.
I can gaze at it for hours with my coffee and unwind the troubles of the day.

The Road Not Taken
$800.00
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; ROBERT FROSTThe inspiration behind this painting is the poem quoted from Robert Frost. I am always mesmerized by the imagery of an enigmatic forest where there are two roads, like the choices we have in life. A thought-provoking landscape that can actually take is to time travel !!! An Escape

This boat that is my land amid the water, is as bright as the last berry of summer. I feel the wind, gusting with the tempo of a fiddle, dancing with long and short bows, punctuated by soulful silence. I watch the billowed sail, rippling the same as the water around, always ready to propel us onward. Under this rising sun I have watched the mast shadow grow and fade, yet it is a pale form of darkness and nothing at all to compare to the brilliance of stars in the night. “There may be shadows in the sunlight, my love, but there will always be stars at night.”
